转弯路线：外侧—内侧—外侧
在转弯时既想要快速通过弯道又不希望产生太大的离心力的话，就必须充分利用道路的宽度，尽量以趋于直线的大弧度来转弯，所以，在转弯开始前要靠着弯道的外侧进入弯道，到中间的时候要靠着弯道的内侧行驶，也就是说在弯道弧顶的地方应该紧靠着弯道的内侧行驶，在过了弯道弧顶之后，再切回弯道的外侧，靠着弯道的外侧驶出弯道，即过弯时要选择“外-内-外”的转弯路线。
转弯原则：慢进中油快出
在还没有进入弯道，仍然保持直线行驶时，应该先踩刹车让车子减速，如果弯道比较大，则应该进一步降低车速，同时还需先降一挡；以低速进入弯道之后，先选择转弯路线和修正方向，然后踩油门，此时因为车辆加速会使重心后移而让车头稍微浮起，方向盘变得较轻，后轮也会出现少许的横向侧滑，车子就可以简单转弯；当看到弯道的终点时，将方向盘回正，在确认路况安全后，加油门快速出弯就可以了。
如何通过上坡弯道
在通过上坡弯道时，进入弯道前应该松掉油门，让车辆以较快的速度靠着弯道外侧进入弯道，然后将挡位降低一挡或二挡，接着选择路线和修正方向，同时轻点油门；在过了弯道弧顶之后，再切回弯道的外侧，同时加大油门，最后靠着弯道的外侧快速驶出弯道。要想安全拐弯，在此过程中也应该选择先外侧后内侧再外侧的转弯路线。
如何通过下坡弯道
在通过下坡弯道时，进入弯道前应该松掉油门踩刹车，让车辆大幅度地减速，并且将挡位降低一挡或二挡，然后以较慢的车速靠着弯道的外侧进入弯道，接着松掉刹车后选择路线和修正方向；在过了弯道弧顶之后，再切回弯道的外侧，同时轻点油门，最后靠着弯道的外侧快速驶出弯道。在此过程中，安全拐弯也应该选择先外侧后内侧再外侧的转弯路线。
如何通过盲区弯道
盲区弯道是看不到出口的弯道。在盲区弯道上行驶时，由于看不到弯道尽头的交通情况，首先必须降低车速，而且不能按着普通弯道的方式驾车行驶。为了避免和对向车辆发生事故，必须靠着道路边上行驶，在通过左弯道时，汽车应该沿着弯道的外侧行驶，在通过右弯道时，汽车应该沿着弯道的内侧行驶，一旦看到弯道的出口就可以变换车道，修正方向，按着先外侧后内侧再外侧的方法，加油门加速驶离弯道。
如何通过复合弯道
复合弯道是由两个以上弯道组成的弯道。在通过复合弯道时，安全拐弯的重点是保证最后一个弯道，以便在最后的弯道出口处快速驶离弯道。首先降低车速，驶入第一个弯道的进口，在每个弯道上，都按着先外侧后内侧再外侧的方法行驶，其间可以稍微加点油门，在通过最后一个弯道时，一旦看到弯道的出口就可以修正方向，充分地加速，直线驶离弯道。
